尘俗里里面太多拘泥

共对每刻能贪得再贪
与你隔一线间竟捉不紧半晚
留住你却是这样这么难
念挂你常幽逐眉眼
愿我可时空中往返
与你这般记忆这般不平凡
你令我发现这日这天更蓝
留低了惊叹

Nobody knows how we will look like and what is going to happen on us in the future. Nobody can predict their own future. Probably the fortune-teller can know their own future. But isn’t is funny when fortune-teller is supposed to predict the future, but have you seen a fortune-teller that is rich?

If fortune-teller really can reveal people’s destiny, why can’t they be rich — they claim to let people strike lottery, why can’t they give themselves number and they can get rich? They don’t have to work as fortune-teller!

When I was young, my mother and sister used to visit fortune-teller. Sometimes I will add in to try it out — just for fun. But I never really believe in fortune-telling, as what I have reasoned out with myself earlier on. Some people believe whatever the fortune-teller said to them and it might affect their future. For example, if the fortune-teller told a person that he would be rich in future, say when he reaches 55 years old, then this person may not work hard for the rest of his life — thinking that he will be rich at 55 years old. Let’s consider the same person again. Normally the fortune-teller will claim things like the person will meet with a mishap in certain time of the year like during his 40s or 60s. If he can survive this crisis then he will live to 85 years old. If he cannot survive this crisis, be it accident or illness, then that is the end of him. If he wants to ‘wash away’ all this bad luck, then this person need to pay the fortune teller a sum of money. If he don’t, then bad luck will sure befalls him.

If the person believes in the fortune-teller, pays the latter a sum of money, he would feel better and his mood will be better, thinking that no more misfortunes will be happening to him. However he had lost some money in the process (being paid to the fortune-teller). On the other hand, if this person does not want to pay the fortune-teller for cleansing away his bad luck, then at the end of the day, he may always have a feeling that ’something’ is wrong with him. This ‘bad’ news might affect him in his whole life, starting from the day what the fortune-teller had told him. For example, if the fortune-teller told him that water is harmful to him, stay away from water. Then the person who heed the advice of the fortune-teller will always have fear of water, staying out swimming, raining weather, everything associated with water, he would try to stay out. These would ultimately affect his whole life!

I don’t believe in fortune-telling now. I believe that you control your own destiny and your future is dependent on what you do today. What you do today will affect what you get tomorrow. If you sow apple seeds in your garden, you will get apple trees. If you sow orange seeds, you will not get pear trees in your garden! If you want your plants in the garden to grow well, you want to see blossoms in your garden, then you need to sow the correct seeds, propagate more good varieties of plants you like, care about them, increase your knowledge on how to care for the plants and beautify your garden. You will not have a beautiful garden if you think you will have a beautiful garden in future. A beautiful garden is a result of days of hard work that you put in, through time, rain and shine, through your care over time. You reap what you sow. It is a fact. No miracle will happen to anyone who just think miracles will happen itself. Miracles also need you to put in effort to make it works.

So what kind of future do you want? Think about it and start building your future now. Your future lies in your own hands.

Ah Huay At A Job Interview

Ah Huay went to a job interview to be a secretary.

When the manager saw Ah Huay’s colourful attire, gold and white-highlighted hair, his mind is screaming,”NOT THIS WOMAN,”.

Nevertheless he still need to entertain Ah Huay.

So he told Ah Huay,”If you could form a sentence using the words I give you, then maybe I will give you a chance! The words are GREEN, PINK, YELLOW, BLUE, WHITE, PURPLE and BLACK.”

Ah Huay thought for a while and said,”I hear the phone GREEN GREEN GREEN, then I go and PINK up the phone, I say YELLOW… BLUE’s that? WHITE did you say? Aiyah, wrong number la… Don’t PURPLEly disturb people and don’t call BLACK ok? Kum Siah.”

The Manager fainted.
