Cathay Cineplex

These are pictures of the newly built building of Cathay Cineplex. The children were amazed at the sight of this building. Their response was “wow! The lights can change colour one!”
This place brings back memories as I used to go there to watch movies with my husband last time. There used to be offices behind the old Cathay Building. I used to go there to look for jobs when I was young. There were many insurance agencies there. One of them was Prudential. I had an interview there with one of the great insurance adviser, one which I respected. He is doing very well now.
The whole family went to Orchard Road on Saturday evening. I do not like to go out on weekends. As usual, it was so crowded everywhere. However, I must go out on this day because my Famous Amos card is expiring on the next day. This card enables me to buy 500g of Famous Amos and get 120g of it free. So I went to Specialist Shopping Centre to buy my favourite Famous Amos. I bought 500g of Macadamia and 500g of Chocolate Chip. Usually I buy from the Wisma Atria outlet, but on this day, I need to go Plaza Singapura, so it is the nearest place there.
After buying Famous Amos, we walked to Plaza Singapura. The floor was wet. It has been raining continuous for 2 days. I hate wet floor. Everywhere is undergoing upgrading works. It is so unsightly. I hate to walk along those upgrading sites. It is so dirty and messy around.
Plaza Singapura was very crowded. I hate crowded place. I must watch for people more than I can see anything else. It was getting dark and we were all hungry. I went to third floor first to collect my free gift. However, upon reaching there, Osim, the staff told me that the free gift has no stock and I need to wait for them to notify again when to come back again. It is so ridiculous — asking me to go down to collect, which I do not intend to go on that day, but I received their call that week, asking me to go down to collect! Now, they said got no stock. Anyway, I cannot do anything.
I did not want to go shopping as it was so crowded. The children wanted to eat Macdonald and so we went to Macdonald. After that we went to Rendezvous Hotel to eat dinner. My husband and I like to eat the curry rice at Rendezvous Hotel. However, each time we went there, the standard is not as good as before. And this time, when we ate, it was totally no more the one that we used to eat. There was no ‘aftertaste’ of curry, it was not as hot as it used to be and …. everything is not up to our expectation. It is our last trip there. We are not going back anymore.
