Are You Smart

Are you smart? Most people think they are smart. Little people would think they are not smart. In my opinion, people who are inferior of themselves would want to create the impression on people that they are smart. There is really no need to ’show off’ your talents whatsoever. Real smart people would know that time is precious. What is the use of creating impression and ’showing off’ to people?
How to make people think you’re smart
Is there a need in the first place to make people think you’re smart? There is no need to tell the whole world that you are smart. There is no need to make people think you are smart. A person who is really smart would know that there is no need to create an impression to people that they are smart.
People who are really smart would know what they are doing in their lives. Smart people are confident of themselves. They have a clear mind and a clear goals to achieve. Smart people make full use of their time to do useful things and spend time wisely on purposeful things.
Personally I do not think that there is a need to show people that you are smart. There is no need to create an impression to people that you are smart. If you really want to make people think you’re smart, then I think this person is not at all really ’smart’! To make people think you’re smart, you need to read wisely and you need to practice life skills. Very often we encounter problems in our lives. To make people think you’re smart, you need to help people around you. By helping people to solve their problems (which they could not solve by themselves), you are creating the impression that you are so clever and smart! Reading widely and increasing your knowledge in various fields would enable you to provide people with useful advise. Providing advice when needed and counseling help to the needy are ways of making people think you’re smart too.
Another way of making people think you are smart is by donation. By donating, it means that you are capable of helping people, and that you have ‘excess’. When you have ‘excess’ means you are capable of earning enough money. Earning a living and doing well in a profession requires expertise and skills. These are of course only smart people who can do it! Besides monetary donation, there are other ways of donation, such as contributing your paintings, sculptures, or your scientific inventions to the society. Depending on your skills you have, you can contribute what you have voluntarily to the society. By contributing, people are aware of your work. Likewise, if you take part in contests and competitions, these would make people think you are smart too!

I would not choose to ’show off’ what I know. I would be most willing to help people if it is within my means. But there is no need to ’show off’ anything in this world. Spiritual food is what is more important than material things in this world. Wearing expensive clothes, squandering your money on unnecessities, just to impress is foolish. There is no need to follow what other people is doing. Just because some people buy something that is the latest ‘in fashion’, doesn’t mean that you need to follow. We should practice discernment and gauge for ourselves what are the appropriate action to take in life.
