Father’s Day Dinner
By Peace | June 17, 2007

This is just an ordinary food centre at the void deck of a block of flat. There is no air-con, the place is really nice at all. But it is the thought and the family gathering that makes a lot of difference.

On 10 June 2007, Sunday, I went to my mother’s house. I gave my father a red packet for Father’s Day. I also gave a red packet to my mother for her coming birthday. It was so coincident that my elder brother had arranged to bring my parents out for Father’s Day Dinner. My elder brother asked us to join them in the end. So that is how I got to reach here at this place for dinner. It is at Bukit Batok. I had never came here before.
My brother had ordered a lot of food. He knew that the children and me love to eat Frogs’ Legs, prawns and crabs. He ordered so many delicious dishes — curry fish head, XO crabs, Spring Onion Frogs’ Legs, Buttered Cereal Prawns, Mixed Vegetables, Spinanch with mushrooms, braised duck, and Sambal Kang Kong. Clara was longing for crab meat for a long tme and this day, she was so happy to be able to eat them.

While eating, it is not very good to take pictures. After eating, there was nothing to do. So I take out my handphone to do some snapshots, while Ricsson played games.

Sitting at my table, I had taken this picture below. The chef is a champion China cook. The food is quite tasty but it was not air-conditioned and there were smoke too. I hate the smell of cigarette smoke.
