Home Cooked Food

By Peace | July 25, 2007

I am very sick of eating packed food and food court food like the fish balls noodles, chicken rice etc.  I love to eat my own cooked food, but there is some ‘limiting factor’ at home.  My children would not mind my cooking.  We all love to eat plain and simple food.  At home, I can cook any dish that suits my own taste buds.

Recently I do not have so much tasks to do –  I choose not to do.  There are plenty of tasks at PayPerPost, Pay2Blog, Bloggerwave, Blogitive and ReviewMe, but I am just very tired of it.  Think I want to relax a little.  My hobbies is not totally ‘Earning Money’.

For a few months of eating mostly packaged food, it was so nice to taste the food of my own cooking finally yesterday.

This is what the whole family had for lunch yesterday.  My favourite dish is the vegetables with prawns.  Next comes the sweet corn — boiled.  The dumpling was not my favourite.  The dumpling were made by a china woman, so it is a ‘china dumpling’.  This is what china dumpling looks like in a closer view below:

China style dumpling is very unlike those of typical Singaporean dumpling that we found at the food court center.  The dumpling skin is fairly ‘white’ and ‘thick and fleshy with flour’.  I prefer the Singaporean style dumpling with ‘yellow’ wanton skin, which is thin.  I would not have eaten the dumpling if my mother had not given me those.
