Which School To Go

These pictures and videos are taken at QiHua Primary School garden. I brought my son to the dentist and while waiting for him, I went to the garden. I never know the garden can be so peaceful and it is a beautiful garden. Everytime I walked past the garden, it was just a garden to me. I have not had a chance to really walk inside the garden. But that day, memories of my childhood days just came to my mind. I used to walk in my school’s garden. It was so inspirational and peaceful to walk over the garden’s bridge. Below the bridge were fish swimming among the cattails. The school’s garden was where I used to loiter around during recess time, sometimes alone, sometimes with friends.
To gain the similar experience or to search for the similar feeling, I begin my walk in the garden. At first, I never take any pictures. But walking around, I saw the clear water and the water sound, they were so nice, so peaceful. I cannot help but take pictures and videos of the beautiful moments. As I walked in the park, I feel at peace, peace within myself. There were children running along the corridors and two pupils ran to the garden. There were other noise and people around, the contractors working in the school, but that does not affect me, for I am peaceful within me and it was even more peaceful having a peaceful garden like that. Watching the fish swimming in the green water with the surrounding plants and flowers, it was so inspirational. The water is so calm and you can see the ripples occasionally from the movement of the fish and the bubbles they blew out from their mouth. For about 5 -8 minutes I was in the garden until my son came to me. I faster finished up the video session and we left the garden and the school and went back home.
I never have a good impression of QiHua Primary School before my children attend the school. To me it was a very old school and as you know, old schools have old furniture and the place is old and dirty. But eversince my children have gone to QiHua Primary School to study, it is actually quite a good school physically.
Before I had any children, my dream was to send my children to St. Anthony Primary School which is the nearest Catholic School to my house. However, circumstances do not allow me to. Evergreen Primary School seems good as it was new. However, I still choose QiHua Primary School as it is the nearest to our home.
Choosing a school that is near the home means that I can have more time to do my work. For attending a school that is a stone throw away from home, it also means that the children have more time to sleep and have more time to rest when they are in the morning session. By choosing a school that is far away, transportation time and expenses need to be taken into consideration. This is not worthwhile too. It could add more stress to the children where time is concerned. When I was studying, our lecturer told us that the most stressful time is waking up early in the morning. Indeed it is. Imagine if I had chosen Evergreen Primary School instead of QiHua Primary School, this means that my children would need to wake up at 6.15am. Imagine if my children attend St. Anthony Primary School, then they need to wake up at 5.45am. This is stressful for both parents and children. So I would rather choose a school that is near home.
There was no regrets and the children were happy. That is already enough. Which school the children go, does not matter to me now as long as they are happy and coping well in school.
