On this day, I was craving for a plate of black carrot cake. I have the craving for my childhood black carrot cake… I can imagine the smell, the taste of it on that day. My childhood black carrot cake used to be bought from Boon Lay Market/Hawker centre. My mother always went to market on Sunday. After market, we would go to the hawker centre to buy breakfast for the family. The carrot cake was so nice. After I moved to Woodlands, the next carrot cake which I can think of, currently in my mind, was the Marsiling one, at the market (have not been there for so long). Having no car, we walked to Causeway Point, heading towards Mega Food Mall. I did not want to go 888 Plaza or Woodlands North Plaza, as none of the Carrot Cake is nice. At Mega Food Mall, their carrot cake is not ready yet and I had to forget about it. But Richard suggested 7th Floor, Banquet… [...] [...] White Elephant Everything in this world happens for a reason.
