My Birthday

By Peace | September 8, 2007

This is my mother. She has more white hair now.

It is my birthday today. On this day, I went to my mother’s house. I had not gone to my mother’s house for more than a month. I had intended to visit her last Saturday, but our family had a family dinner to attend. In the end, I could not go to visit her. On this day, even though it was my birthday, I choose to visit her. I know she feels lonely and how she hopes to have her children visit her often. As usual, I asked my sister, but she was not interested to go at all.

On Friday, Johnny came to fetch Valerie. I told him about visiting mother but he could not confirm it. But today it was lucky that he called and he wanted to go to mother’s house. We were lucky because we could take a lift from him.

My mother all alone at home when we arrived. My father had gone tour again. As she was all alone, we decided to go downstairs to the seafood restaurant to eat dinner(so that she did not have to cook herself). These are pictures of the restaurant and the food we had.

While I was eating, I received a SMS. It was from a friend, wishing me Happy Birthday. I was surprised that he still remember my birthday. I never forget his birthday either. On his birthday, I had dedicate this song 一夜傾情 to him.

I did not make any birthday wish nor did I have any birthday cake. This is not my birthday dinner too. However, my wish, everyday wish, is to hope my mother has enough money to spend and most important, good health and hope that people around her can treat her nicely, especially workers in the factory, and my father can spend more time with her.

My brother sent us home after dinner. I hope I can spend more time at my mother’s house. Back home, everything was normal again. The children asked to buy birthday cake for me, but no one wanted to go out. Late in the night, I requested Richard to cook some food for me. He agreed and everyone had a filled of our stomach after that. So that is how I spend my birthday.
