Woodlands Checkpoint
By Peace | November 2, 2007

Went to Woodlands Causeway or Checkpoint (Don’t know what the place is called). Took a direct bus, 911 there. Somewhere this year, perhaps around February or March, Richard and I went there to visit the Adult Shop (don’t know what is the shop name), which was being mentioned in the TV. We went to the shop, but on this day when we came here again, we could not find this shop anymore.
It is such a old town here. I would not want to come here again, nothing special and nothing worthy to buy. There is Sheng Shiong Supermarket there, but I would prefer NTUC to Sheng Shiong.

Used to eat at the Food Market. After they had upgraded, Richard and I went back to eat our favourite food there, but some of the stalls were not there anymore. The food were not as tasty as before. So on this day, we did not eat the at the Food Market, but at the ‘looked New’ Food Court as shown in the picture above. In the past, it used to be a old coffee shop here. Everything looked nice here, especially the Nasi Lemak stall.

So we decided to eat here, at the “Looked Nice” Food Court. Richard ate Nasi Lemak while I ate Bee Hoon. Soon, we discovered we made a wrong choice. The food was cold — both the Nasi Lemak and the Bee Hoon. The chilli, which is considered the most important when eating Nasi Lemak and Bee Hoon, was not at all ‘look like’ Nasi Lemak Chilli at all too. This is the a meal not valued for money and I would rather pay for a packet of Nasi Lemak that cost S$1 than to buy this. The chilli from the S$1 Nasi Lemak is even better than what this stall has. Neither of us finished our food and we are not going back to this stall anymore.
What is nice to see may not nice to be eaten, just like people. Do not judge a book by its cover. Roses are beautiful but have thorns. You can get hurt if you are not careful handling it. Beautiful women have thorns too. Handsome men look nice but they may not be your cup of tea too.
