Buy Or Compare

By Peace | November 27, 2007

Everyday I see Ricsson watching YouTube videos. His hobbies are watching movies, television programmes, watching YouTube videos and even making videos himself. Not long ago, we had a free mp3 player but he seldom use it. He wanted a webcam or a video camera.

While shopping, we happened to see some webcams on sales. I wanted to buy the webcam for him, as it cost only about S$35-$40. However, we were stopped from buying again by his father. He said,”Don’t buy anything first. Go online and check first. ” Disappointed, we walked away, went out of the shop.

Months past, Ricsson has not had his webcam nor video camera. His father never check anything for him. What are the things which he said would ever be fulfilled? What are the things which he had promised will ever be kept? I had seen many websites with products review and websites which allow customers to compare products and prices. Save Buckets is one such online shop. I compare products, compare prices, before I bought my present handphone. But I do not like to go online to compare prices and products for something which cost so little. It is wasting my time. Buy or compare prices? When you come across cheap deals, I think it is a good chance to buy. How much is your time worth? If you are very free to shop around, if you are too free to compare prices here and there, then by all means go ahead and compare prices before you buy something. However, time and perhaps transport(if incurred) are not worthy at all. I would rather buy. However, I would go Save Buckets to check on products and prices for products such as laptops and TV. Products which are costly deserve our time to find out more about them since we are spending our hard-earned money on them.
