Durian King

Must Save Money To Buy New Computer
Last night I was writing about eating durian, and before I could publish my post, my computer crashed. I lost my work instantly. I spent almost half hour or more writing it. Looks like my computer is reaching the dead end soon.
Arrgh!!!! My creation Vanished
I would have lost the initial inspiration I had. The best art is the first piece of art. It is the first and initial inspiration, created with enthusiasm and vigour. However, some people may have different results. Some people need warm up. Their first creation is ‘rough’, and they get better with the second attempt and the third. Nobody is the same. Everything have their own way of working and everybody are different. That can be analogous to the varieties of durian you can find in Southeast Asia.
Better Than None
Managed to retrieve part of what I had written, which was saved automatically, but most of it was gone. I have to regain my inspiration and have my flow back.
Manna King
Just completed my special page on durian at yrmanna.com. My children love durian. Richard and I love it too. We love ‘Zu Ji’ (seedless) durian, and the durian which taste 80%bitter-20%sweet. The children loves 80% sweet/bitter to 100%sweet durian. We had always no chance of buying durian. When we saw places selling durian, it was not convenient to buy home. Public transport would not allow anyone to bring durian on board.
Buy Durians
Last week, after church, we had our dinner at Marsiling. We were so happy to see the durian seller there again, after a few months MIA (missing in action). Immediately after we had finished our chicken rice, we went there to buy the ‘Bao Jia’ (guarantee eatable) durian. There were no S$1 durians. The prices of the durian are 3 for S$10, s$5 each and the more expensive ones. I bought 4 of the S$5 each durians. They were bigger in size and looked better. The 3 for $10 ones looked like S$1 each durians. Normally, I would reject lousy durians. However, this old man who liked like in his 50s, was good. I had seen him many times there. He gave me 2 very good ones for the price I paid. So I asked for two more from him, but they were not as good as the first 2.
Eat Durians
Back home, we ate the durians. So shiok to eat durians with alcoholic taste at the ‘back’ of your tongue. You can sense it. It is alcoholic, like XO. Those that I bought were not D24 or XO durians. They are durians with No names, came from Malaysia. Names are just given by man. Have names or no names, doesn’t matter.
Good durian has only a few aril in it. Quality is better than quantity. The one at the left hand corner is ‘Zu Ji’ (seedless).
This is the optimally right durian, with just the right amount of water content. Not too watery and not too dry/hard. This is everything just nice and the colour looked so nice.
Always Greedy and Hungry For Durians
Actually four durian is not enough, considering the quantity (the number of durian seeds in each durian). But it was a very satisfactory durian eating session. Everybody in the family enjoyed.
