Wonderful Christmas Spirit

This is St Anthony Church. It looks so different today. I suppose we must be at the right manger.
Christmas Gift or No Christmas Gift
My plan was to go church to get some Christmas present for Christmas Party on Tuesday. Father said don’t need to buy Christmas Gift. But it is not good to go empty-handed. It rained in the late afternoon, just as we were about to leave the house. We could not cycle and decided to take bus. We waited for a long time at the bus-stop, but there were no bus. Soon the rain stopped. We walked to the MRT station to take a train to Marsiling instead.

It rained when we reached Marsiling MRT station. We walked across the station to Marsiling. At the Marsiling shops, we saw people selling durians and the children were so happy; but we did not buy any. The durian looked too ripe, those that were left too long, with the spiky skin yellowish and wet with rain. We went to eat Chicken Rice again. Many food had lost their taste due to the price hike, but this chicken rice are still the same. It is nice still.
Christmas Celebrations
It was still raining when we finished our food. We walked past the Nursing Home and there were people singing Christmas carols. By the time I reached the church, it was 6pm and the shop had already closed. I never got to buy any gifts. At the end of the church, we filled up our spiritual gift or prayer for our loves ones on the Advent Hearts. We dropped all our Advent Hearts into the collection box. All hearts will be brought to the altar for Christmas celebrations.

Christmas Spirit In The Air
After church, we walked to Causeway Point. We saw Christmas Caroling again. The shopping centre was rather crowded. The restaurants had long queues of people waiting to be seated. Despite price hike, people still need to spend money. There were still many people queuing up at the taxi corner too.
I am at the right manger. Today I saw Christmas Log cakes — Many Christmas log cakes. But I was not tempted AT ALL. Last year and this year, I am different person now. Not only have I known more about God, I did not feel anything for Christmas log cakes like I used before (last year). It is either I had forgotten the taste of delicious Christmas log cakes or that I have no desire to eat them now. Father mentioned about temptations today. I am a person not easily drawn into temptations. My heart is like stone, it is not easily moved. But once my heart begins to move, it is hard to draw back too : )
I believe this is going to be a meaningful Christmas, definitely more meaningful than last year.
Advantage of Blogging
One advantage of blogging is I can always look back at my thoughts and events that happened. I have very poor memories and I tend to forget dates. Having blogs help me to keep track of these. For instance, I can compare my Christmas thoughts this year and the previous year.
