Pasar Malam Food

Some Food At Pasar Malam, Woodlands Square, Beside Causeway Point/Woodlands MRT Station (For a period of One month, ending end of January)
Went specially to Woodlands Pasar Malam to buy Nasi Lemak for dinner. Richard and I queued up at the famous Boon Lay Power Nasi Lemak stall, waiting for our turn. While waiting, I went to a stall to buy otar. As I need to wait, I told the guy that I would come back later. When I came back, I saw him gave my otar to another guy, just standing beside me. He never apologised, keep quiet and said he would do again. I told him how could he do that, since I came first and told him that. That was not the right way to do business! I walked away, told Richard about it. After much thought, I decided not to go back. My first reason for buying from him was because the queue was short. I was in a hurry for time. But now, I was not happy (boey song liao). I rather queue long long than to buy from him. Lucky I had not made any payment. You wanted to play me, I played you.
There are many stalls of food at the Pasar Malam. There are Chinese food, Japanese food, Western food, Malay food and Indian food.
Boon Lay Power Nasi Lemak
The queue was extremely long. By the time we reached our turn, we realised that we did not get to buy what we wanted — no more ikan bilis and no more fried eggs. But luckily, later there was a stock-up. But still there were no ikan bilis.
Woodlands Pasar Malam Otar
We went to this stall to buy otar. We always buy otar when we buy Nasi Lemak. This was a long queue at first, but when we came later, there were not much people left.
Boon Lay Power Nasi Lemak Review
No time to take photographs of the food we bought. I had to rush for tuition. Nice meal. How great is really this so-called famous Power Boon Lay Nasi Lemak? I find it is not bad, but not really that ‘fragrant’. No ‘coconut’ smell. The only thing why it is famous must be the wide range of dishes you can choose. Furthermore, the rice is hot. The chilli is okay, nice, at least so much better than the Nasi Lemak at Woodlands Checkpoint. As for the price, it is not cheap, but okay lah, normal meal rates — but if compared to normal Nasi Lemak or Value wise, not cheap.
