Second Life Experience

This is a slide of my recent visit to Second Life, my SL adventure, exploring beautiful places in SL.
SL Interview
Some people asked me about my experience in Second Life and what I like about Second Life. I will tell you how I know about Second Life first. I got to know about Second Life through Richard. He is always looking for money making opportunities. As soon as he knew about Make Money playing games, Second Life, he told me to sign up. That was how he got started with his business in Second Life, especially after reading about the success stories of Anshe Chung, Second Life’s biggest property developer on the internet — Anshe Chung is a Millionaire! Anshe Chung spun $10 into $1,000,000 in two and a half years.
Purpose in Second Life
So that is one reason why people enter Second Life (SL). My reason for entering SL? I was curious back then. I signed up an account, entered it and I was not really keen to play this so-called ‘game’. It is not really a game, but merely an ‘interaction game’, a virtual world where you can interact with people and do business. It is not really interesting to me at all. I did not ‘play’ the SL game, but working hard everyday on my blogs.
Money Attracts Most People Into SL
He was motivated though, especially reading so much success stories, beautiful and attractive write-ups of Anshe Chung. However, I was not at all tempted. He told me to join Property and Insurance, for these jobs can earn a lot of money. He told me about blogging for money. He told me all the money-making opportunities. I listened to him. Why did I? Why did I trust him? He is my husband. Am I being silly or am I being naive? Past is past. That is lessons I learned and in every path, I learned and I gained knowledge and experience.
SL Game hard or easy to play?
I was not active in SL. I understand myself and I do not like wasting time being lagged and crashed often. However, soon I realized that I was wrong — wrong to ‘leave him alone’. He could not be left alone! SL is a world as messy as real life. When real life is messy and complicated enough with the presence of real church, real police, real government, what about Second Life? It is worse! There are immoral people, there are scams and swindlers just like real life. I was devastated with how SL can affect MY FAMILY. That was how the INTERNET had affected my family the first time it came to my home.
SL is a brain game, RL is a heart and brain game…
As mentioned, there were many types of people in SL, just like there were many types of people in real life. When in real life, you already had so much difficulties in trusting relationships, it is even harder to understand the sincerity and real motives of people in SL. All you see is just an avatar, in which any person can create multiple avatars and played multiple roles. You played games in Real Life(RL). In second life, you can be playing your RL or you can be playing your imaginary life, virtual bad or good guy or gals which you always wanted to be. Anything is possible as long as the mind is able to conceive it and the heart able to accommodate it.
RL more important than SL
Real Life or Second Life? If you can manage your real life well, you should be able to manage your Second Life well. If you cannot handle your RL, your SL is as bad as your first life. This is because SL is just another online communication frontier like Skype, MSN messenger where you can chat with people globally. Find new friends, talk about business and so on.
When your heart begins to rule in SL, it is warning sign…
When I was still kept in the dark, during those ‘green’ days where I seen ‘changes’ in his behaviour and his changes, I suspected him. I entered SL, I met various kinds of people and I had friends and acquaintances and ‘enemies’. Who are my ‘enemies’? Women’s intuition is always quite accurate. And for me it was very accurate. I could understand HER language, what she was trying to HINT me, just like SOME PEOPLE in Real life who had used to did that to me. It was just another SIMILAR experience, just that it was being played back again in the virtual world.
SL Relationship: Sex and Money Make Common Friends
Besides such kind of friendships, I have mostly opposite sex friends who are interested in me. I think this is the same as in real world. That applies for Him as well. He also has ‘admirers’ or rather some lonely girls who need ‘love’. Such are the most often normal encounter in the net and in the virtual world. They always start with friends and chat casual, but soon, as they get better, they get ‘emotionally attached’ and that is how they lost control and mix up the RL with SL, and that is where the problems come too. There are just as much politics in SL as in RL.
Good or Bad, how you see it!
If you want to ask me what I like about SL, then it would be the arts of it. The creation of beautiful landscape, the building of objects like building castles, the choice of textures and the management of your land and business. It is a challenge. However, we must always know what we are doing and not let the ‘outside’ world control/influence what you are doing. If you are not focus on your goals, you would fall an easy prey to Satan, the glittering and smooth talk of woman dressed in silk clothes. She comes in various shapes and speak in various tongues. If you are not careful, she will do more harm than making you another Anshe Chung, the millionaire. If your eyes and ears are not big enough, you would be the direct opposite of Anshe and you become a pauper instead of a rich man. As you can see in my blogs, I love to explore SL, and visit castles, monasteries, churches and popular places. The most recent one would be SL Korea.
Do you really earn — Free Lindens?
I used to have friends on SL, and used to Login everyday. The turnover rate is rather fast too. That is normal for games. People get tired about sometime. Moreover, the games here is not really games, and you need money. And that is why people are often looking out for free camping for free Lindens money.
Multiple Avatar, One Person, How much can you trust the internet virtual world?
I have one character at first, not knowing I can create multiple character. However, after I learned my lessons, I create another avatar, an alternate avatar, in which I need to pay for it. I did not want HER and Her accomplice (her so called sisters and uncles and her multiple avatars) to know my identity. I played a different role in SL for that Character. It was an imaginary character, something which was played using my brain instead of my heart.
SL Good Social Networking, better communication — picture speaks for itself
If you know the other person, that is the real person behind the avatar, SL would serve more function than normal skype or internet messaging or any other online social networking. When sometimes words are just so difficult to be expressed, actions in SL can mean more than words. This make communication easier and more fun — when families or friends are separated in different world, they can always get together through virtual gathering. Various interest groups can be created just like any other online sites.
I am who I am, RL Peace, SL Peace
The role of Peace Botanical is really me. It is a role using my heart and my mind to communicate with those avatars around me. I can feel insincerity in some people, and I had encounter people who speak with sincerity, but all it takes days to really know the truth.
My Mind at work, my heart in control, my senses in coordination
Currently, I am still in SL, but not frequent. My castle was ‘ruined’ and many businesses left as well. I am very busy with RL and had not much time to go SL. For two years, His dreams are not fulfilled. For as many years as I had known him, I am still working hard for money. I am sick, mentally and physically — when I had so much battle to fight, one after another, and to fight RL battle and virtual world battle.
