I Believe
By Peace | February 12, 2008

This is a toy which I come across on the net. It looks so much like CJ7 and that is why I decided to take a snapshot of it.

This is CJ7 walking proudly on towards the big dog.

This is one of the innocent expression of CJ7, so cute and adorable.

That is the toy that can make this boy (in actual fact a girl) happy.

He wanted his father, a poor coolie, to buy him this toy, CJ1, which his friends also had. He said it was really fun and nice to play, a good toy. He only wanted his father to buy just this toy, for once and only time.

Begging, throwing tantrums were useless. His father was poor, have no money. His expression showed his feeling at that time. Though his father did not agree to buy it, he still persisted, asking his father to buy his favourite toy, CJ1. The father scolded him and hit him.

A poor father who earn little money through his hardwork, Stephen Chow did not go shopping. Instead, he went rubbish heap to look for unwanted goods which can be recycled, such as his son’s shoes. He could only buy second-hand or worn-out fan. He mended Dicky’s shoes and did all the sewing and raising his boy.
This is really such a nice and touching movie. It shows the contrast between the rich and the poor. Though it is a show, but in actual life, I believe that the poor will always be rewarded, just like Dicky. The rich do not need any assistance. They have enough money to help themselves. The poor on the other hand, need external help. The Chinese often speaks about Tian(天 - sky/God) and sometimes also says Tian You Yan, 天有眼睛 (The Sky/God has eyes).
Is this a fair world? I don’t know, but I believe Justice Shall Pevail in this world. All it takes is time. Money is not a measure of wealth, a rich life may not be a person who are rich. A person who are rich may not have a rich life. Richard Palace wants to have wealth, but I want to have a rich life. He is my life, my inspiration. God gifted him to me. Destiny brought us back after we were separated. He is meant for me. He is the story of my life — the life of a mediocre, yearning for Peace and Justice. The life of a mediocre who wants to find real meaning of success in life and not just a life full of material wealth.
For these, I am sure everything is working. I may see “Bad” or “Failure” or am “broken”, but things happened for no reasons. Something always come to my mind instantaneously. They are all miracles of the Holy Spirit. Archbishop Gregory Yong Sooi Ngean put his hands on my head. I shall receive the Holy Spirit. What is Holy Spirit? I did not know what is soul, what is Spirit and what is Ghost! I was ‘blank’, merely filling with awe and excitement over the Sacrament of Confirmation. But now, I understand. Am I right or am I wrong for what I believe? Up to now, I am quite sure my logic is working real and fine.
At Confirmation, we learn the implications of our new life in the Holy Spirit:
All powerful God, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
by water and the Holy Spirit
you freed your sons and daughters from sin
And gave them new life.
Send your Holy Spirit upon them
to be their helper and guide.
Give them the spirit of wisdom and understanding,
the spirit of right judgment and courage,
the spirit of knowledge and reverence.
Fill them with the spirit of wonder and awe in your presence.
I believe.

[…] I believe. Yes I believe. I believe the existence of God, the existence of Spirit and the Holy Catholic Church. Do you believe me? For the first time, I cycled to the Church, determined, very yearned, very scared, full of fear, and so many emotions and so many words in my heart and in my mind. My tears flood the eyes, but I must control myself. People around me do not understand. They taught I am not right, not normal, but I tell them I am fine. But I am scared they are not fine. […]
