Eu Yan Sang : Caring since 1879 – “Eu Yan Sang is Asia’s leading healthcare company with core focus in Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). We started out in 1879 with the mission of “Caring for Mankind” and this altruistic philosophy remains the core principle of our company”.
Cheapest Item For Sale At Eu Yan Sang
This is the only thing I buy from Eu Yan Sang. Always pass by this store and cannot resist the smell of their Herbal Eggs. It costs S$0.80 per egg, but nowadays the eggs are getting smaller and today it is not as fragrant and tasty as before — normal for all outside food now — effect of price hike and inflation. Still their eggs are better than Pasar Malam Herbal Eggs.
Brown Egg: Eu Yan Sang Herbal Egg
According to Eu Yan Sang, the herbal egg is good for blood circulation. Anything good for blood circulation is rather heaty. As such it is not recommended for consumption if anyone is having fever or flu.
Clara was such a nice girl today. She helped to peel all the eggs. Then she gave the egg to each one of us. She is always so kind and helpful.
I always stand outside their store, never dare to go in. Just like jewelleries shop, I cannot afford to buy the things from there. Luckily they put their Herbal Eggs at the entrance, otherwise I would not enter the shop too.
Shopping For Chinese Medicine
Where do I buy Chinese Medicine normally? My father usually has supplies of them. He purchased them from other countries, which are cheaper. Back here in Singapore, I will buy Chinese Medicine at neighbourhood TCM stores if I should need any. Very often, the items which I buy are herbal tea. Talking about herbal tea, not every TCM stores checked th items. There are no expiry dates for herbal tea stated. But as you know herbal tea are dried woods and dried leaves. I had seen two stores now near my neighbourhood, selling bugs and beetles infested herbal tea! The first one was at Woodlands 888 Plaza. Lots of black tiny black beetles crawling in the plastic bag of herbal tea. Just in case the shopkeeper was not aware, I went forward to tell her. Her response was,” No lar, don’t have one lah! Won’t happen one lah!” She did not even bother to go and see. I told her to go and see. She don’t believe, fine. It is her shop. That is the last time I stepped into her shop.
Hock Hua Tonic Vs Eu Yan Sang
The second encounter of bugs infested herbal tea was tonight at HockHua Tonic Pte Ltd. They have several outlets. I went to Causeway Point outlet. My mother has their membership card. I do not have. I bought a few items from their store, paying about S$48. Was thinking of buying Herbal Tea from them, but to my horror, there was a big bug in it. Any more tiny ones, I am not interested to find out. As soon as I had seen one big and crawling bug in the packet of herbal tea, I quickly put it back. I did not inform anybody this time and I did not take any picture of it. It is their shop. So many staff standing around, staring at people and nobody checked their own goods! That is a waste of human productivity. I was surprised to see such a scene at such a shop like them. Perhaps that is the meaning of cheap vs expensive store. Eu Yan Seng seems too dignified and looks too grand for me to enter. While that of HockHua looks more receptive. However, I never never expect to see insects in the herbal tea.
