Mother’s Day

Clara surprises me in the morning with these flowers, and a note she wrote for me. She wrote,”Dear Mummy, today is mother’s day. I hope you like this three flowers. I love you mummy.” She drew herself and me, flowers and heart. The day is 11th May 2008. This familiar number….. many memories….

It was Sunday and the children went Catechism. After catechism, we went to KFC (at Fu Chun Community Club) for some snacks. That was the first time I went there. It was so much better than the one at Causeway point and 888 Plaza. I love this KFC. It is spacious, clean and cool. We ate the WoW meal, which cost $3 for each set.

After eating at KFC, we cycled home. On the way, I saw the first time, the field full of pigeons, all seem to be eating grains in the field. There were so many colours of pigeons, white, brown, grey, black… I love the brownish black one and Ricsson said that one is called ‘John’, so funny.

This is “John” which Ricsson and Me joke about.

Besides the pigeons, we saw flags on the pavement. We were wondering what flags they were and then I suddenly remembered about the Buddhist flag, and they were indeed the flags used for celebration of Vesak Day.

Everywhere was birds. On the way to my mother’s house in the evening, I saw so many myna on the field again. As we were walking, I saw a crane flying towards Republic Polytechnic, and on my right was two red dragonflies. What a beautiful sight.
