Whatever Will Be Will Be

By Peace | June 18, 2008

Always heard of St Anthony Feast Day, but I think I had never participate any of it before. On Saturday, 14th June 2008, St Anthony Feast Day Dinner was at 730pm. We went for Mass at 6pm and the tables and all that. My first reaction was ‘wow’, looked not bad at all, but $35 per person. Including children I would need to pay $140. But that was not really the reason. On that day itself, I asked Richard,”Next year want to eat a not?” So disappointed. He was not interested.

After mass on Saturday, we cycled home as usual. We planned to go Causeway Point for dinner first. However, something happened on this day. My rear bicycle wheel suddenly punctured. It was a loud explosion sound, so scary and all the people in the carpark — the Thai people came forward to see also. So ‘malu’ (embarrassed), but they laughed too, so funny.

On this day, prior to the wheel being punctured, I saw this cat again. Just Friday, 13th Friday 2008, the night after the Triduum mass, Fullness of Life with Our Father, I saw this cat standing on the brick wall. But on this Saturday, he was sleeping on the chair. I don’t know what it means. I found it rather cute, and took a picture of it. After that, in the carpark, my bicycle’s wheel burst.

What Wheel It Be?
Ricsson said that the Singapore Flyer looks like the wheel of a bicycle. And so coincidentally, my bicycle wheel burst, totally ‘busted’. Until now, the bicycle had not been send for repair. All the metals were spoiled, the rear wheel is totally spoiled — cannot even be replaced with tyre, the whole wheel is spoiled!

I was not at all bothered with this. I was totally okay at that time, just that I want to push the bicycle back to the bicycle shop, but Richard again had different idea. For not ‘listening’ to me, for being ’selfish’ earlier on, all of us have to ’suffer’. I pushed the bicycle myself all the way to Causeway Point. He, forever, little bit of things throw anger. Everything also his idea, but later, he came to help me push the bicycle while I pushed his.

Whatever Wheel Be, Will Be
Now, I know the future is not for me to know. One day at a time, one step at a time. There is no turning back. I am born new now, and I must not GO BACK. But I must march on, mission to accomplish, the soldier marching on, proclaiming the mystery of faith, I must learn, learn the meaning of faith, learn to be a good Catholic, and learn to be a good disciple of Jesus, and to bring salvation to mankind.
