Matter of Life and Death

By Peace | August 9, 2008

Holy is His Name. I cannot believe it. Our life and our death, everything is destined, and how you die. This is amazing, simply amazing.

2 Tembusu trees and One mango tree at Woodlands

It is amazing also, how the holy spirit works in our lives — how our eyes are ‘opened’ and ‘blinded’ at times. Living here in Woodlands for so long, I thought there was only one tembusu tree, but on this day, 8.8.08, I saw for the first time, 2 more tembusu tree at my neighbourhood. However, these two tembusu tree was not so nice as compared to the one at my house. These two, one smaller and one bigger, and one with little fruits, one with no fruits (or perhaps have, did not see any, as did not go near also, but obviously not as many as the one at my house). The tembusu tree at my house was FULL of fruits, and Clara also said it looked like a Christmas Tree. It was indeed looked like a Christmas tree, conical shape and getting very tall. These shows how good the Feng Shui at my house was. It was the most expensive flats in Woodlands.

On the way to Causeway Point: Stingray Clouds

On 8 August 2008, this ‘auspicious day‘ which people called it, the triple 8 day, we walked to Causeway Point. The clouds, the sky was so special. There were white clouds and black clouds, sun and moon too. On this part of the sky, I saw something like a stingray, and that is the tail of the stingray.

This is the tail of the stingray from the sky

This is Causeway MRT station. It was another special day, with special clouds and special feeling…..

According to the book “Today in History Singapore‘, on this day in 1963, National Theatre, the largest at that time, was opened. It was built to commemorate Singapore’s attainment of self-government in 1959.

Stingray Kills ‘Crocodile Hunter’ Steve Irwin
In this year, my brother was born. On his birthday, Steve Irwin was pierced in the chest by a stingray barb while snorkeling in Australia and died shortly after. My father caught many sort of marine fish and creatures, including corals while I was young. Those were beautiful memories. My father taught me many things, including the tail of the stingray, which he said was the most dangerous part of the stingray. My father did not have high school qualification, but his knowledge of such nature was good, and I learned many things from him. He loves to eat stingrays and sharks.

This is just how amazing the Names of people are, and their date of birth and their death day…. my mother used to say,”生死注定” (life and death is destined). This is really true, and all according to the will of God, all the works of God, the creator of this world, heaven and earth, and the giver of life.
