15th August 2008, Friday, Assumption of Mary. This is the day, the Chinese believes that the Ghosts’ Gate is fully opened, releasing all the ghosts…..

Went to Fu Shan Garden in the evening. Was surprised to see the Sign board out of shape… That was true… Garden of Unity, are there going to be Unity?

Something strange happened around 11pm. All the people were in the same room. My eyes suddenly turned to the floor at the entrance of the study room. (It just happened like that. Even when I sleep, I can suddenly wake up….. my father used to say “Got people come and tell him….”……. well, it is something like that, must be.

So I saw a lizard on the floor, ’standing at the entrance’, waiting for attention. I told everybody. I went near it. It seemed to ‘look around’, so alert.

We do not know what the lizard want. It did not look like a normal lizard either. We waited, and soon it moved. It walked so fearlessly, no fear for anybody at all. It seemed to ‘parade’ as it walked. It paraded to my cupboard as shown, passing by Richard’s table. Richard was saying, “Just a lizard….” and could not care less. He was still doing his work.

The lizard climbed up my cupboard…

It jumped, and reached my plastic cabinet…… Now, I looked at its back in details…. It is so disgusting, so scary. This is ‘mutated lizard’, first time I saw this kind of lizard at my home and in my life. It is not the normal kind of home ‘gecko’ or home lizard that would stay in my house! It’s back contains black dots, looked so scary.

It is very agile, we (the children and I) were scared… I was scared it might hide in my cupboard forever! But I still stayed on to see what it would do or go next.

It jumped again. This time, it jumped onto my chopping/cutting mat. On my cutting mat, there are pen knife, scissors, choppers, metal ruler and scotch tape — all the cutting material/tools.

Since it got into the cupboard, stayed there, I was scared it would hide there. So scared, I went to living room to take a container. I thought of catching it, but then it might jump onto me. So I put aside the container that I had taken. Richard did not help at all. I had to think of another way. This time, I went to the altar, took out the holy water. I sprinkled the holy water on the lizard and commanded him to leave in the name of Jesus. It worked! The lizard U-Turned, looked at me, and really responded. I sprinkled again, said the same command, and this time, it walked down the cutting board, and down the cupboard….

On its way down, clinging on the side of the cupboard, Richard threw a book (his magazine) at it. The lizard dropped down. I saw it going under the cupboard… the fate of it was unknown….

The next day, 16th August, morning, I used a cane to ‘dig out’ everything under the cupboard, and found no trace of any dead lizard…..
