Church Wedding

This is how a ‘proper’ church wedding is. I stayed throughout the session, to see how a church wedding is like.
On Sunday, 31st August 2008, I was so surprised to see Father Vincent Chee at the church. In fact, I miss him…. I thought he was sick (on leave for six months, until next year). As soon as I saw him, I was so happy. I greeted him. He asked,”What are you doing here?” I answered,”walking around…” The children went upstairs for catechism classes.
I do not know what time the wedding will start. I waited for the wedding…
Father Vincent Chee said he was back for the wedding preparation. Soon I saw him dressed up… so beautiful the words on his vest. The front word “爱” (love) and behind “天主是爱” (God Is Love). For so long I had been waiting to see the words behind him…..it is only during Holy Communion, when he was walking to the tabernacle then I saw the words…

I have two brothers and one sister. All our wedding are held at the church. However, none of the wedding was like that… We do not have decorations, we do not have receptions, we do not have buffet…..

So many friends, so many people celebrating with them… Our family…. it’s sad to see, how even from my family, ‘they’ are diverting away………
