Admiralty Primary School
Passed by Admiralty Primary School yesterday (purposely in fact…). We were on the way to Woodlands Mart, and I was curious, very curious how the school looked like now.
Admiralty Primary School was started in 1997. It was such a new school. I have a taste of teacher’s life.
The school crest:
An open book representing the knowledge acquired by a pupil through the two stages of Primary Education (Foundation and Orientation);
A hand symbolizes guidance and humanity; and
Five bands in a circular badge with the colours
blue — representing humanity
yellow — representing excellence
red — representing equal opportunity
signify the 5 shared values that form the foundation of our nation.
The Letter ‘A’ formed by these symbols is derived from the school name. The circle, which encloses these symbols signifies the rounded education that the school provides.

This was my form class, Primary 2J. It was in the year 1998 (the year of the Holy Spirit) I was given a chance to teach in the school… David was one of my student. He gave me this cup for teacher’s day…
Survival From The Dead
Yesterday, while cycling, I told my family about some incident that happened here. One of them was the death of a school boy, who jumped down from a flat opposite the school. The teachers attended the wake… Come to think of it, I told them, I go everywhere, always got people die! The first one was perhaps Primary 5, when I was in Yung An Primary School. I heard my form teacher said her grandfather died, and she gave me a green-coloured cloth. The next time was 11 November, forgotten is 1992 or 1993… the death of 2 friends of Richard from Tengah Airbase…
Year of the Holy Spirit
In the year 1998, it was the death of my grandfather, Paul. The year 1998 is the year of the Holy Spirit… The day my paternal grandfather died was 6.3.98…
