Kou Fu

By Peace | September 20, 2008

18th September 2008 at Kou Fu: Yong Tau Foo

Oh dear, I am so hungry now. My stomach is feeling so terrible, burning! I am expecting GOOD NEWS. Terrible, so terrible I feel…

Looking at the photos, I cannot help but feel ‘want to eat’ what I see… my favourite Yong Tau Foo, Laksa, both pictures I had taken at Kou Fu… it makes me salivate. My gastric juice is secreting badly…

I saw this above me, and was surprised that Kou Fu is at Woodlands Mart.

Inside KouFu, Better Food, Better People, Better Life…

Outside KouFu, everything Looks new and nice. The place brightly lit, I like. I had not come Woodlands Mart for centuries. The last time I was here was when I need to go Nation, the maid centre…

This is really Better Food, Better People, Better Life now… the place is clean and bright.

Food is the only thing I need now, and to keep me ‘moving’ and ‘kicking’!

At Woodlands Mart, the only thing I really like is Kou Fu, the only place that call for a reason for me to go back there. There are 18 stalls at Kou Fu, Woodlands Mart. Beside Kou Fu, there is Fork and Spoon, which is smaller — ‘look cramp’ and I had not stepped into it yet.

So far, I had went back to Kou Fu twice. The first time, I ate Yong Tau Foo, the second time I ate Laksa… There are so much varieties of food — duck rice, nasi lemak, nyoh hiang, pig organ soup, western food, korean cuisine, prawn noodle, vegetable rice, fish ball noodle, vegetarian food, roasted meat, Yong Tau Foo, Ban Mian, Dim Sum, and fruit juice.

    1. I visited your Toa Payoh Hub outlet almost every morning. On few occasions I observed that your food counter staffs were unfriendly and rude to their customers. It happened to me once where I had to wait to be served. That staff was only interested in finishing her work instead of servicing her customers instantly. She showed some unhappy facial expression towards me. Not even a word of sorry.
    2. The drinks counter staffs have to be aware, on 2 occasions I consumed luke warm tea instead of hot tea. Please look into this matter seriously. Thank you and revert asap.

    Dear Management,

I would like to launch a complaint of the food and its prices sold at Pioneer Mall Koufu.

My family used to patronized this outlet due to conveniency but recently we found that prices of the food in each stall has increased tremendously. Besides, the quality & quantity of food is getting worst (below standard). This is totally a pinch to our pockets. On the otherhand, the utensils are not properly washed and clean at all for use. Where is the standard of hygience we suppose to have?

I do hope the management would looked into this issue and try to improve it.

    Yours,

    Peggy

    To Kou Fu Management,
I’m living in Sembawang area. I have patronized several Kou Fu food courts around the island and I must say the Kou Fu at Woodlands Mart is one of the better ones, in terms of food varieties. However, the Kou Fu near where I live (blk511 sembawang) is below the standard. I would like to propose to Kou Fu management to study the success story in Woodlands Mart, introduce the the favorite foods to this food court and attract more customers with better TV programs like sport channels. One positive comment for Kou Fu at blk 511 Sembawang is the beer promoter is friendly and her service is one of the best I have seen for Tiger beer promoter. Her good service make my beer session there enjoyable.

    To Kou Fu in-charge,
I would like to express dissappointment over the attitude of one of the kou fu manager in block 511 sembawang. I normally don’t frequent this place, but because my customer is located nearby I would take a short break after working hour once or twice a week at this kou fu. I noticed there are two rotating managers working at block 511 Sembawang and I observed taller and thinner one has bad attitude. His bad attitude is not towards customers but is is good enough to tarnish the brand name of kou fu. I ever noticed him stood around near the cashier, together with the lady cashier gossiping about someone in their dialect. His conversation normally slow down the cashier work and hence causing customers waited extra minutes. Just a couple of days ago, I saw him openly criticised his staff in public. I may not understand fully what he said but I can roughly understand the topic was about the slow business in that branch and he blamed the staff for the slo business. As the manager, he should be accountable for the operation of the branch and should not behave naively in the public. I hope kou fu management can review the performance of its staff so not to affect the kou fu brand name.
