Never get Pinched, Never know the Pain
How many people sitting in the office, implementing policies and plans own their own vehicles? Are there any bosses or management executives who do not own a car? So many people are buying cars. And now there are more weekends cars on the road. Want to reduce pollution, want to reduce cars/vehicles on the road…. but cars are highly ‘valued’ as compared to our lives, human lives (what is the value of a human life?)

Road safety being broadcast, and we were taught since a child, to use the traffic light when crossing the road. But we see people running across the road, jaywalking and so on. We also see accidents happened at traffic lights, though it is considered ‘safe’ at the traffic light. Why? Of course there are many reasons…. and it is impossible to name all. There are many blogs by Singaporeans, who captured pictures of inconsiderate/irresponsible motorists, and there are also the passengers etc. This also includes Rude Singaporeans and so on… just so many complaints, rants and all the ‘chokin’ (cursing).
Value of a Life
When accidents happened, it is too late to blame anyone. Blame who? Who is right and who is wrong? The person is dead. It’s not even your kins, do you feel the pain? You never know who is the victim. But the culprit is rushing for time. They may also be too law-abiding, follow STRICTLY what they SEE.
Be a Responsible Motorist
Teach them or tell them “red is stop” and “green is go” etc… everything is so rigid and is ‘imprinted’ on these drivers’ mind. Can they allow rooms for pedestrians to cross the road when poor kids or old people are still crossing the road?
It is understood. Even my children know what these traffic signs mean. If follow closely, I might be dead by now.
Life is precious. Use the roads responsibly. Together we can make our roads safer.
Who is ‘we’ and how ‘together’?
If life is precious, why are we given so LITTLE TIME to cross the road? But TIME for the vehicles to travel across the traffic lights are so much longer (considering the fact that the vehicles are machines that can travel even FASTER than HUMANS?) We the people, walking on the pedestrian crossing, HAVE TO HURRY, have to get EXCITED, get so ANXIOUS, cannot have PEACE, everytime my family cross the road at traffic light!!!!
Taste the Grapes To Know The REAL TASTE
Anymore words to describe the grapes is worthless if you have not tasted the grapes before… Who can ‘WE’ be and HOW ‘together’ we can be? Just knowing the facts and theory is not enough.
