Breaking The Bread

By Peace | April 1, 2009

Sometimes inspiration just come when you are doing simple daily chores or tasks or doing the things you simply love.

The favicon for this website, Yr Manna, is ‘breaking the bread’, and I got this idea one day when I was drinking my favourite combination of Milo and buttercracker as shown below:

Hot Milo with Milk

It is always so good to prepare your own drink — you get to mix the correct proportion of ingredients that you desired for your drink. Of course it is even nicer and sweeter if someone would prepare a really delicious cup of Milo or any drink for us. It is always so nice to be served.

But such ‘treatment’ is over. The only times we are pampered and we are served ‘what we want’ are our childhood days. I remembered my mother making Milo for me, and serving me. I missed Milo with eggs. It’s very nice.

Buttercrackers, some coated with sugar.

Break up the biscuits/buttercrackers, or ‘Soda-piah’ (as in Teochew) and put them into the Milo. Eat the biscuits immediately to prevent it from getting too soggy.

This is a wonderful tea time snack. Sometimes I like to add cereals to the Milo too (as shown below).
