Waiting For Taxi
By Peace | April 5, 2009
We cannot afford to ‘anyhow’ spend our money. I have to reserve the money for hospital bills, but now, hospital bills also don’t know got enough to pay a not.
He don’t like to go my mother’s house. He said,”Every week go your mother house!” My mother, she is my mother, and if I reject her, I feel so bad. And now, it seems that whenever I go there, I am bringing home food. I feel bad also. I never give her anything, and she is still working at her age — never have enjoyed her life. I do not feel good either. I cannot give her anything.
He don’t like to go to my mother’s house, that’s fine. If you can give me money, then I don’t need to go my mother’s house also. I can rest at home. But, got no money, and I have to fork out my own pocket money….
The children were attending classes. We had to rush back to bring them back. So in circumstances like this, I considered taking a cab. Otherwise, we had to walk or take bus or MRT (and he always said I am wasting money!!! Search my conscience…)
We left my mother’s house at about 2.40pm. Walked to the roadside to wait for taxi. I never know that it was so hard to get a cab on that day. Some taxi was changing shift, while many were hired. We waited until about 3pm, and still no cab for hire. Then I thought it was time to call for a cab.
Captured this image, so that I can remember the number to call for a cab.
I had given my handphone to the children. Ask him to call a cab, it’s like chopping off his head. He was so reluctant to do that. “You think don’t need money har?” he said.
I told him,”The children waiting at the church….” Trying to save a few cents and what happened if anything happen to the children? Haven’t you learned the lesson? I told him that Cebest need to see the doctor again. He said,”Tomorrow morning see how.” And what happened to ‘tomorrow’? The next day was too late! What happened in 1997 when Ricsson had a high fever and kept crying? He did not even know the child was sick. The mother also said,”Aiya, children is like that one.” If I had listened to their words, today my Ricsson would not be here, or his brain would have been damaged already.
This is LG KS 20 handphone, which I do not like to use.
He wanted to pass me the handphone. I am not going to use that. I tried before and I simply do not like it at all. I told him to ask for NTUC Comfort like the one above, and he started to throw temper again. “Call yourself lah!” and in the end, we waited for taxi to come. I had nothing more to say but submit to fate.
Blessed Palm Sunday
I was disappointed, heartache. Waited so long for a cab, watching people walking passed, driving passed. I was aching. Then suddenly, I heard him saying,”Mercedes Cab coming.”
I looked up and saw it was a silver cab, very nice, first time I saw: SilverStar Mercedes Benz.
This is the Palm leaf I gave to my mother.
Is this a consolation for me? Thank You my Master, my friend, my wonderful counsellor, Jesus.
