Man or Woman, Boy or Girl

Holy Week
This holy week, a tearful week, a week full of touch and gratitude to my Saviour, my Messiah, Jesus Christ, who died on the cross (Good Friday) to save people from sins, and I am one of the people being saved, witnessed, and experienced it — fully convinced the existence of God, the claim: Jesus is the lamb of God who take away the sins of the world…
Char Bo (woman); ‘Teapot’ and Trouble
I am a woman. Before that I was a girl. Girl or woman, as long as you are female, I think you are the most ‘troublesome’ creature. Though I am a woman, I do admit that woman are the ‘fussiest’ creatures. However, that is not something bad, and neither is it something good. It all depends on how you look at it and the circumstances you are in.
Between Man and Woman
I always wish to be a man — no need to suffer menstruation problems and no need to suffer pregnancy pain. These two issues are already big enough, not to mention others. Menstruation is another expenses(monthly sanitary pads) woman need to pay for. Men do not need to pay for such things. Men do not need to go hospital in their lifetime if they are in good health. Women, whether you are in good health or bad, as long as you are pregnant, you need to stay in the hospital for at least a day or two.
When things go wrong, the woman is always the one who is at fault. Man seems to be the ‘carefree’ creature. Woman being raped, woman was pregnant, etc etc, and the woman has to think of solution, has to shoulder all responsibility.
Man can wear sloppily. Man can have just a few pieces of clothes in their wardrobe. Their clothings are all very standard. Woman, on the other hand, have lots of patterns. You have to be presentable. You have to wear matching shoes, matching clothes, etc etc. In addition, woman has to buy bras! They are not cheap. And when woman is pregnant, much more expenses, and much more things to buy(material needs) — maternity clothes, bras, etc. All these are really not cheap. And looking for clothes that I like, is very difficult also.
Just sidetrack: How my man react
You can see my size before pregnancy and now, pregnancy if you follow my blogs. I had thrown away all previous maternity dress, baby clothings, etc etc. Now that I am pregnant, I need to start all over again. My clothes just could not fit into my body now. I tried to save money. I tried not to spend money on unnecessary stuff. But how can I walk around without clothes? I asked for second-hand bras from my sister. I told her,”spoilt one also can.” But….. She is my sister, and that is why I asked her. No matter how she treated me, I still regard her as my sister, my only sister…
This is the pregnancy that was so much different from the previous two that I had. I am the fattest now, weighing 70kg. I was 46kg last year before my pregnancy. Even my maternity dresses are tight now. Luckily, during the Chinese New Year, my niece gave me a few pieces of maternity clothes. These are clothes that I got to wear ‘interchangeably’.
I need to get somemore, at least 2 or 3, for hospitalization, and for breastfeeding. Tried went shopping, which I dread, and even more tiresome now. It was very hard to find something that fit me, and designs that I like.
So I had been on the lookout for suitable clothes, before I just spend it on something which I don’t like. I explained to Clara, and she is always very helpful. She helps me with lots of things at home. And when I was telling her about what I need to buy, my man shook his head. My man, always think that I am WASTING money. My man thinks that spending money on food is also wasting money. But my MAN never thinks that paying a few hundred dollars for a piece of Gold Card, or a piece of Platinum card is a waste of money. My man, the NS Trained Man, do not even bother to save electricity nor water, not to say recycling. Man, are you a man?
Woman makes of Water
Clara asked me,”Why you always hear this song, you cry?” Every song has a story to tell. And when I cry, it does not mean that I am sad. When the song was played, it just reminded me of what happened… images just flashed in my mind… and it was the experience, the feeling that touches me.
At the church, she asked me this question, and I could not answer her — it is not a one or two word answer. I told her I would explain to her at home.
A Special Gift
At home, it is balanced now, two males and two females. I have a boy and a girl. God is very good to me. I have what I want. I want a boy and I have a boy. I want a girl and I have a girl. Government says ‘stop at two’ and two seems to be good. Two is good, just nice… never did I know that I would have a third…..
Boy or Girl
The first three months, the family had been guessing for the sex of my baby, the new family member. Clara hopes for a girl, Ricsson hopes for boy, and Richard has no opinion. My main concern is the health of the baby. I want a healthy baby first, and the next if I have a choice, I would want a male.
So on the fourth month, Dr Koh said it is 80% male. My last visit, I asked if the penis could be seen. So here is the ultrasound scan of my baby boy with the penis on the top right of the picture.
It’s A Boy
No menstruation, no pregnancy, no need to think of fashion, no make-up, ugly or handsome, ‘got money all girl wants’ (depends depends, money cannot buy the heart).
Jesus At The Door
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead?
Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him! (Luke 11:9-13)
