See The Light

St Anthony Church, Second Sunday of Lent, 28 February 2010
Tell me, can I still go to church? Tell me, why do I go to church if I go there and I have no peace and I go there and I learn nothing? Tell me, do I still go church?
Some would be very happy if I don’t go church. The children would be very happy and my husband would be even more happy if they don’t need to go church. To the rest, it does not matter perhaps…
St Anthony Church, at the end of the mass.
In this photo above, you can see the room which I had called it ‘the crying room’ on the left (the brown door). This room is called St Peter’s room. It is a room where church wardens stored their belongings inside as well. The altar boys and some parishioners also use this room for other purposes.
As you can see in the photo, it was the end of the mass. I was still standing outside at the foyer… feeling unwelcome, feeling very upset…
Entrance of the church with these words written on the stairs: My House shall be a house of prayer For the people of all nations. ~ Mark 11:17
My children saw me not inside the church obviously. One by one, they came out and talked to me, pretending (pretending or purposely, but to me is excuse) to go toilet. “Told you don’t come already!”… Then they ‘lingered’ around to keep me company.
My Church, My Solace?
Is there a place for me? A place to accommodate a mother and a baby? Alright, since you asked me to go crying room, and I had told you why I did not go also… for this one last time, at a different timing from the rest of the usual time which I had gone church also, I went into the crying room with my children. Guess what? It’s just the same what time you go into the room…
