I love to learn and I love to teach. I think I got the love to teach from the people around me, namely my teachers and also my brothers. I grow up with the accompaniment of my nieces and nephews. They are all such lovable kids. My brother helped me with some school homework, especially English, Maths and Arts. I, in turn, helped my nieces and nephews in some of their homework too. This is especially so for Lim Chan. Lim Chan is the eldest niece in my family. I taught her Math homework as well as English. This was Free math tutoring during my school days. After I finished my GCE ‘O’ Level, I began to start Home Tuition, private and groups. All in all, I had Home Tuition experience of 11 years. After my second kids, I could not continue any more Home Tuition.

The above photograph (Home Tuition) is taken at Woodlands MRT Station on 25th April 2010, .the Fourth Sunday of Easter. Behind the advertisement or railing, you can see a white crane. White crane symbolized wisdom.
Many years back, when I first moved to Woodlands, just got married and had not have any kids yet, I also did my own advertisement before I got my students. However, my method of advertisement was not like this one. I had a photocopy machine at home then. I photostat flyers and I put them into the residents’ letterbox or mailboxes. Richard helped me with this. My niece and nephew used to help me to distribute tuition flyers too back in those days in Boon Lay.
Today, I am no longer teaching Maths Tuition. Having to look after three kids and to manage the household matters, I have really no time for tuition.
