The ‘Unseen’ Friend
By Peace | May 18, 2010
Spotted this unusual bird at Woodlands MRT Station, while on the way to church on 16 May 2010…
Yesterday, something ‘unusual’ happened again. Richard was helping me to carry Isaac. I laid in bed to ‘rest’. How long can I really rest? Can I really rest?
For several days and perhaps weeks, I had been carrying Isaac, toiling all day long, day and night… Can I have a good sleep, undisturbed sleep, of more than 3 hours even without any interruptions? Hardly. Am I made of metal or iron or am I a robot that don’t need any rest? Is it that I am not earning as much money as him so I cannot rest? Am I not entitled to rest and do my own chores or hobbies just because I have little ‘earning potential’?
Ask him to look after Isaac, and he would ‘sleep’ (closing his eyes, dozing off)… Ask him to help something and he is not happy. What kind of attitude is this? Is this the kind of NS man that is been ‘produced’ from our nation and even the kind of ‘education’ that is produced from the nation? Even Clara can understand more. She is such a good helper to me. Without Clara around, I do not know how to cope…
So yesterday, I was really tired, after being ‘awoken’ for the whole night, carrying Isaac in my arms. He, as usual, of course was reluctant and unhappy about it. But still, he had to do it. I was ‘sleeping’ and heard Isaac crying loudly again, as always. I woke up/stood up from the bed, walked towards him and had to carry Isaac over. I noticed that the fan was not on….
Later on, he said,”Did you off the fan??” I did not answer. It is so stupid, a stupid question. He was looking after Isaac. The fan was in front of him. What happened right in front of him and he did not even KNOW!
When the door bell rang, he claimed that it was a short circuit… the alarm was spoiled… now this time, what about this time??? I heard the fan sound on/off (don’t know, just the sound of it) in the living room. No one was outside the living room. All the children went to school. He went outside to take a look and came back. The fans were not on or moved, but just the sound of the fan being on/off was heard. And moments earlier, he experienced the fan in the room, right in front of him, stopped. I did not see the whole situation, but I knew the fan stopped…
I told him, always, about Jesus and me. Do you believe me? He even got angry. He even stopped going to Prayer Session. He even asked me to “STOP TALKING ABOUT ALL THESE.” despite all the explanations I told him and WANT to tell him…
He is looking after Isaac now that I am typing all these. But I have to ‘endure’ all the pains of Isaac crying in his care…. I have to cut it short and quickly get back to him, while at the same time, I must jot all these down, which is of significance….
Where Do I Begin
Speak Softly Love
To Be continued……. — shall elaborate on the unusual bird when I have time…
