My Mother’s Gifts
By Peace | June 27, 2010
Honour The Sparkle of A Mother’s Love… Thanks for giving with a heart full of love anytime, anywhere…
How beautiful these words are. They were taken from jewellery shop (GoldHeart) on this year’s Mothers’ Day. I had not given my mother any great gifts. The only year where our mother got a valuable gift from the four children were the only year (cannot remember which year), when the four children contributed a fair share of money to buy a necklace that she liked. I can still remember the necklace.
I never like to wear jewellery in fact. The only jewellery that I wore now is the cross or the crucifix, to be exact.
Speaking of necklace, below is a piece of necklace which my mother had given me during my wedding day. This gold necklace, I have never wore it before, not until now as well. I have no chance to wear it, nor do I like to wear it.
This year, I had asked Richard several times whether I should pawn away all the gold items (including Si Dian Jin /四点金 and the rest of the gold gifts). I had always kept my father’s gift to me, the Rolex Watch as well (for fear of dirtying and spoiling it). However, I had changed my mind. I began wearing it… (otherwise I would be pawning it…)
Richard asked me to put aside first. I was reluctant to pawn all the gold items too, even though I had no wish to wear them, nor do I have any need to wear them. However, the SOLE PURPOSE of keeping them is really because they are GIFTS from my mother, my mother-in-law, and relatives.
Among these gifts, the most treasurable among them must be this piece as shown below:
Gold Coin Bullion Pendant with Thick Spiral Necklace (Front View)
The front view of this special gold coin bullion pendant as shown above shows The Lady’s Head, bearing the word “Liberty” and with the year 1928 at the bottom of the head. Surrounding the head is 13 stars. At the back of this gold bullion, you can see an eagle, with its wings spread apart and with the words, Modern. Prize. Flower printed on the special coin bullion or pendant.

My mother is a very generous person. She always gives the best things to people while she does not have anything for herself… Having four children, she always wants to ensure that the four of us are treated fairly. Just like this special Tiger gold bullion as shown below, she makes sure that the four of us are given a fair share of each. Like I say, I do not have a habit of buying bullion or gold bullion. I do not have any such need at all. But I think, collecting ‘money’ is my mother’s hobby….
Below shows the most recent Tiger Gold Bullion which my mother has given me this year (Year of the Tiger):

My mother is a GREAT MOTHER. She never goes to school, but she knows a lot of things, lots of things which EVEN the people who GOES TO SCHOOL cannot be COMPARED to her…………………
How can I repay the kindness of my mother, the GREAT LOVE that my mother has showered on me… the great love of someone who always try to give the best of everything she can have to her children and people around her. I owe her far too much, too much… Just what can I give her in RETURN?
