Dinosaur Playground

By Peace | July 21, 2010

Butterflies flying among flowers in Fu Shan Garden. I managed to capture one yellow butterfly in flight as shown above.

GOD’s CREATION: This morning, the sun shines beautifully at Fu Shan Garden. The garden where I was standing, the ‘hilltop’ of Fu Shan Garden, was filled with yellow butterflies. What a lovely sight as I carried Isaac, taking photographs, DOING MY JOB… yes, about 10am, the NEA Malay female officer came my house, and immediately after that, I came downstairs….

Dinosaur Playground

Look at the mud filled grounds of the playgrounds, and the water trapped underneath. It is not a favourite grounds for children either…

Since I moved to Woodlands, this playground was in existence. I used to bring Ricsson here to play. We took family photographs here, and it was the place where I brought the children here to play. But over the years, I had seen ‘everything’ (the gradual change) at this playground and garden. Isaac is one year old. He is able to walk a little now. But I CANNOT bring Isaac to this playground. It is so ‘dirty’, full of mud and algae… This is not a conducive environment for me to bring Isaac here to play — the dinosaur playground.

There are two spots of dinosaur playground, as shown in the photographs — one green dinosaur and one orange dinosaur. The green dinosaur is even worse. I think all these dinosaurs are very ‘redundant’ here in the garden. They are like white elephants. It is really TIME that the AUTHORITY DO SOMETHING about these. Children need RECREATIONAL places, and these two precious places are not helpful at all. They are potential breeding grounds for mosquitoes and NO CHILDREN (small children) are playing here!!!! IF Children play here, they are not really children, but youngsters, the teenagers or Secondary School boys loitering around….

Fu Shan Garden, Woodlands, Singapore

THE ORIGINATOR, THE ROOTS OF PROBLEMS
This is the place where the elderly will gather every morning for their daily morning exercise. Do these people know that somewhere out there, at the mountaintop, there is this mosquitoes breeding ground? WHO IS BREEDING MOSQUITOES in the FIRST PLACE?

Can you imagine, HOW CAN mosquitoes just BREED IN OUR HOUSES, if there is NO MOSQUITOES IN THE ENVIRONMENT?

Look at the elderly in the photographs, these are INNOCENT people, the citizens of SINGAPORE…. they can be foreigners or Permanent Residents even. But still, they have to go home after their morning leisure time at the garden…. If they have problems later, is it THEIR HOME that breed mosquitoes or is it FU SHAN GARDEN that is RESPONSIBLE for their illness?

Please GET The WORK done
Can the CITIZENS SUE THE AUTHORITY? CAN citizens of Singapore like me, ASK or FINE the government in this case? CAN we FINE NEA for negligence or is Sembawang Town Council responsible for this?

Fu Shan Garden Mountain Top

Who will maintain such places? NEA officers so free to come our house, door-to-door to check premises. What about these environment? For all you know, these are not the only Problems areas of Woodlands! This is really a non-efficient ways of doing things….

and I wonder is there a playground meant for babies/toddlers??? A place at least for babies/toddlers to walk around ‘hygienically’….

to be continued
