Letterbox
By Peace | July 29, 2010
Yesterday I brought Isaac to the playground. Coming home, I opened the letterbox first before proceeding to take the lift. Nobody was at the lift lobby — only Isaac and me. The time was around 130pm. Just as I was about to go towards the lift, I did not have to press for the lift at all. The lift door just opened, and I, carrying Isaac in my arms, entered the lift (Lift B — the photograph above shows a moth above Lift B on 23 July 2010…).
Once inside the lift, the lift door suddenly opened again, as if someone had just pressed the lift door opened. It was indeed the ‘sound’ of letting someone enter the lift….. I pressed the number of my house at the lift and memories of past incidents filled my mind…
This is so spooky, but it is so real and is a fact… the spirit world, things which are invisible to the naked eyes. Spirits are present everywhere and Christians or rather Catholics have Patron Saints and Guardian Angels to assist them… I had numerous attempts of such ‘aid’ in my lives.
On this day, yesterday, I opened the letterbox and I received a letter from RBC ministries. Back home, I opened it and realized that it is about their HISTORY. I had subscribed to “Our Daily Bread” ever since I had a copy of it free at my church, St Anthony of Padua Church at Woodlands. Little do I know that RBC ministries have such a long history, as early as 1938…. RBC founder was M.R. De Haan, a physician who later in life became a pastor well known for his gravelly voice and impassioned Bible Teaching. His commitment to ministry was to lead people of all nations to personal faith and maturity in Christ.
RBC initially means Radio Bible Class, but later in 1994, it refers to Resources for Biblical Communication in some countries. RBC Ministries has offices in 35 locations today and their mission is to make the life-changing wisdom of the Bible understandable and accessible to all. Their vision is to see people of all nations experiencing a personal relationship with Christ, growing to be more like Him, and serving in a local body of His family. I had benefited from this program personally.
“Our Daily Bread” provides inspirational and motivational messages which is of significant values in my life. To get a copy of “Our Daily Bread” in your letterbox or bobi mailboxes, contact RBC Ministries! RBC Ministries headquarters is located in USA and they have several locations over the world. In this special RBC Ministries letter that I had received, they had mentioned about L.I.F.E, which stands for
- Learning about life through Scriptures
- Impacting life with Scriptures
- Fellowshipping through the sharing of life’s experiences in the light of Scriptures
- Experiencing the reality of biblical truths together
The letterbox is so important in our lives. It served as a channel where information can be propagated. The letterbox is the place where the world can communicate with us and we can communicate with the world (through the world of letterboxes). No man is an island, and we are created by GOD to SHARE our knowledge and resources, so as to make this world a better place. The letterbox is thus one of the important channel of God’s communication.
It is just how miraculous our eyes worked. My eyes were once again ‘opened’ on 11 July 2010, the day Spain had won its Soccer World Championship and also the day I had another special vision…. For the first time on 11 July 2010, I saw the letterbox of St Anthony Church. I had been going to the church for so long and I had been living in Woodlands for so long, and never in my life had I seen their letterbox before! Look at their letterbox, it is ‘hidden’ or ‘camouflaged’. It is really not easy to spot it. In Singapore, it is really hard to find contemporary mailboxes or to see a bobi mailbox. It would be nice to have special mailbox or letterbox designs like those found at Mailboxixchange to add beauty to our environment. Using good quality letterbox or mailbox not only ensure the security of the letters in the letterbox, but it also ensure that the letters would not get wet also during rainy days!
