Resorts World Sentosa
By Peace | September 22, 2010
This is the mooncakes from Resorts World at Sentosa. My father-in-law had come to our house last night to give us 2 boxes of mooncakes and some lanterns. The mooncakes packaging is very unique — having two strings so that you can hand carry them.
I had not been to Resorts World Mooncakes since its opening on 20 January 2010. My father-in-law is a regular customer there, having paid $2000 for ‘membership’. I think it is like his ‘second home’ there. I asked him if he had won or lose yesterday and he said he had won. Richard asked him what sort of game he played there and he said, “Roulette.” which is my favourite… this is really “God is with us”… Before he left, he gave the children each a piece of $50 brand new note, ‘crispy’ (I think is won from the Casino).
I did not have a chance to go to the casino yet. But from what I asked him and what he answered me, I can relate it to my Genting Casino experience… He said that the air-con inside the casino is very cold, and he wore a nice jacket (just like Lee Kuan Yew…).
He told me that the mooncakes are free, and at first, I thought that anyone can just ‘take and go’ — something complimentary from the Casino since it is Mooncake Festival. But looking at the box, it has a sticker with “18 GP (RWS)” Casino Rewards! Then I supposed that he need to exchange his points for these gifts. The mooncakes come with various combination — low sugar lotus paste, double yolk lotus paste and single yolk lotus paste. This is the best mooncakes I had this year.
