The Inevitable (青龙)
By Peace | November 19, 2010

What I had dreamed on 6 September 2010 about Dragon Time Machine looked somehow like this picture above — the circular one above. The one at the bottom was very equivalent to what I had seen in the clouds on 11 August 2010.
This is just how miraculous it is — the people who appeared in my dreams. I did not think of them and I did not anticipate any of them. Neither do I know some of them at all. They are totally strangers who appeared in my dreams — faces which I had never seen before.
Richard always said that I am too free and that’s why I dream. My mother said that I dream what we thought of in the day. How many people can really know about Dreams? One day, during the year 2009, I think Isaac was not born yet. I dreamed of God. I had never seen the face of God before, nor even know what really is God when I was young. I wonder how people can pray to someone whom they do not even know or visualize. But God appeared. I was transcended, and yet everything seemed to be a nightmare which nobody seemed to believe…
No one is an island and we had come to share what we know. This picture above is taken from the website about Chinese Culture. I had dreamed about the Green Dragon this morning. I had absolutely no idea what is the green dragon. What I saw in the dream was just words, Chinese Characters as shown in this picture below:

The green words on the left is written green dragon, but these are the traditional Chinese characters, which is what I had seen in the dream. The simplified form is 青龙. These traditional “Green Dragon” words in Chinese were PAPER WORDS cut out nicely and pasted on cloth banners in the dream.
According to the website, it is said that the Green/blue dragon is one of the four spiritual creatures. Dragon is a symbol of power and monarch. Dragon symbolize the whole Chinese people. The ancient Chinese people thought the color of the east was green/blue according to the popular philosophy at that time. So they called the dragon representing the east “green/blue” dragon. Just yesterday I dreamed of a cyan (blue/green) wall at Admiralty Primary School — with bats flying around!
Long long ago, ancient Chinese people sorted animals into four categories ( bird, beast, worm and fish ) according to their characters of flying, walking, moving , swimming , feather, plume , scale and their regions of living (sky, river, land ). Then they select one animal as representation of each category. This is the origin of the four spiritual creatures. With the development of the ancient astronomy, the four creatures were connected with star constellations and directions. About Yin dynasty, people thought that the configuration of star constellations in the east liked a dragon, south bird, west tiger and north the union of tortoise and snake. When it came to the Warring State , people added one color for each creature. From then on green/blue dragon( 青龙 ) , white tiger ( 白虎 ) , red bird ( 朱雀 ) and black tortoise/black union of tortoise and snake( 玄武 ) were frequently painted on the walls of the early Chinese and regarded as the four spiritual creatures of the celestial having the apotropaic function of warding off the evil spirits.

This is a photograph taken from the show Mrs P.I or 查某人, the latest Channel 8 Mediacorp 9pm show. It shows the kind banner that I had seen in the dream. In this photograph, you see a piece of blue blanket with plastic sheets of words pasted on it. In my dream, it is a much better quality one. It is carved out words (made from hard paper) pasted on the cloth instead of plastic printed in such ‘mass production’ manner.

This is another photograph to show the blanket banner which people often gave to the family of the deceased. In my time, I had seen such blanket also given to my great grandparents and my grandparents (at their wakes). But they were exactly what I had seen in my dream this morning, of better quality, carved out Chinese Characters pasted/stapled word or word on the blanket instead of printed on plastic sheet like the above.
In my dream, I was at Boon Lay, the part of Boon Lay (at the HDB Flats) just opposite of St Joseph’s Home. I cannot remember the full details but it was a rush for time. At the spot, I was ‘having no time left’. The next thing I can remember about this dream is an enclosed area consisting of vacant shops. Luckily there was a small not so obvious ‘outlet’ at one corner. The glasses of all these shops were pasted with KFC stickers. I dreamed of my sister, Mary, and my father was present as well. But standing with us was a woman whom we do not know at all. She was very serious and talked to us about my brothers, my two brothers. She was asking like: which of the two brothers are more ‘unlucky’ or ‘lucky’….. She wanted to pass something to us, some talisman I supposed. It was a ‘knot’ (jie) she was referring to. It is something inevitable and had to occur…. this message I got… My answer and our answer after ‘much discussion’ was given to her, this woman with curly hair, a Chinese………
