National Parade Live

Take and Eat This is My Body
Father of the Nation
It was Lee Kuan Yew, old but still sober, talking steadily and calmly. He wore blue and came to the TV screen, which I watched at the parade. It was a live show. He was announcing some competition results, which was so unexpected and too sudden. Thereafter, all the backstage staff had to change all plans. Everyone was so surprise and 手忙脚乱 (extremely busy). As for me, I was at the backstage and I had asked for a cup of water. One of the backstage staff gave me a cup of water. It was my favourite tiger glass, filled with ‘spotted’ water. The water was obviously not clear. It was only half-filled. In the water, I can see particles — dots. Looking through the water, I can see a fish, a small baby fish in the water! How can they possibly gave me such water! I asked for replacement…
What The Fish
Lee Kuan Yew was sitting at a desk behind. He saw it and asked me to give the glass of water to him so that he could comment about it. Next, I started taking photographs. Outside the glass, I saw ‘big fish’ (tropical fish), especially the commonly called ‘tiger fish’ (one of the tropical fish with black and white strips, orange fins). I wanted to take a nice photograph of the fish which was found in the drinking water before I handed over everything to him.
Teachers Training
After I had finished taking photographs, I went behind. There were two classrooms. I stood at the first classroom. A long-haired female Chinese teacher was teaching the class. Her Chinese pronunciation was not accurate, but she was speaking English to the class (occasional Chinese words from her). Someone came standing beside me now. She looked like LP. She was teaching at QiHua Primary School some years back, but don’t know what she is doing now. We chatted about Names, specifically about naming babies I supposed. She seemed to tell me about the ways to name a baby. We had found a common way.
66,68…The Revolution
Watching very interestedly at the teacher in the classroom, learning some skills from her since I do not have a chance, I learned that there were 6 new teachers — 2 couples and 2 ladies. However, later I was told that I was wrong. There were 2 new male teachers! How come I was not informed of any male teachers? And it was so weird, it do not add up to 6 but it was 8 (in this case)….
Facts and History
Singapore celebrated its first National Day in 1966, one year after Singapore’s independence from Malaysia on 9 August 1965. The first National Day Parade started in the morning at 9:00 A.M. People came as early as 7:00 A.M. in order to get good vantage points. Singapore’s first President, Mr Yusof bin Ishak and Singapore’s first Prime Minister, Mr Lee Kuan Yew, were seated with members of the government at the grandstand on the steps of City Hall. When the parade began, 6 military contingents (including the Singapore Infantry Regiment, SPDF and the Republic of Singapore Police), a mobile column from the SIR, and various schools and civil contingents marched past City Hall and then into the city streets. Of course, 3 military bands accompanied the parade inspection and later the march past with military music. The Singapore Fire Brigade also took part in this first parade with its firetrucks included in the mobile column.
The 1968 parade was the first parade to be held in the rain. Some participants and spectators in this parade discussed this issue after the National Day Rally Speech in 2005. It was not going be until 1975, 1977, 1980 and 2008 that National Day Parades were to be held in wet weather. It was also in that year’s parade that parade presentations in the Padang itself (aside from the civil march past and on the street presentations) by various groups debuted, ending with the Chinese mass lion and dragon dances.
Toy Story
Please read the above link, Toy Story. This is really ‘spooky’, ‘Haunted House’…Watched The Detective last night. On the night (early morning) of 27 November 2010, strange sound was heard….Richard heard it too. It was about 4am…..dogs barking sound was first, and next MELODY… a tune which we NEVER HEARD before, coming from the toy as shown above (Animal Rescue Fisher-Price Toy Car), which was bought on 22 November 2010 at Kiddy Palace… It was a melody consisting of dogs barking, clapping hands/applause…CELEBRATIONS!!!! It was a TOTAL OF THREE APPLAUSE in continuation (3 Melody in total) and after which the music STOP TOTALLY (4.15am). After that, I heard a footstep sound on the blue mat which is in the room…. It was the ‘invisible man‘ again…..
