Fox Creation
By Peace | December 5, 2010
A long dream. It was a woman whom I seemed to have seen before and know rather well in the dream, but now I had forgotten who she is. At first she was managing a room of ‘people’ (some kind of services she was helping with the people), but later, her attention diverted to managing of a celebrity male or someone of special importance (大哥大). This person looks like Gallen Lo…
Inside this house, I was fixing my pink shoes which I had bought from Metro. Somehow, it was spoilt after Isaac had worn them (the right shoe was spoilt). Its sole was still clean. They had not been worn out before. I discovered that I had chosen the wrong matching pair of shoes as well. These two shoes were of slight difference — one white and one black (the peripheral lining). Next, a maid came to tell me,”Are you going to change the shoes?” At first, in my mind, I had already resigned my fate: not to change the shoes since it was spoilt — the pink cloth and the metal part of the shoes were detached. But still, I answered,”Yes, I am going to change.” Next, I put the shoes in the box…. hiding some broken parts.
The next thing that I do was to go to the room where the above mentioned ‘celebrity manager’ was. Over there, my mother was sitting next to ‘Gallen Lo’. Chatting and watching them, suddenly our attention diverted to the black window panel on the right side of the room. The whole wall was just a black glass panel just like hair salon shop. Some Malay children came walking past and they peeped into the black glass. They looked so funny. The three of us laughed.
Next, I was at the entrance of a bookshop. The owner was a man with spectacle of medium built. He was a parent of my children. In the dream, my memory told me that I had to wait for him for so long for him to come down from the second floor. This time, he came down again from the second floor. As I was waiting for him to come down from the second floor, I saw amazing things happened at the second floor, from the view of the first floor. I saw Fox Racks (racks with picture/carving of fox at the side). There were story-telling session and there seemed to be magic. I saw a ‘dashing’ appearance of something. Intuition told me that that was the fox spirits…
Moments later, the spectacled well-dressed owner came down. I spoke to him in Chinese, asking him for permission to go second floor. He agreed. The second floor seemed to be all books. I thought that it was just books. But when I walked up the stairs and further into the bookshop, I came to a corner shop on the left. It is a Traditional Chinese Medical Shop. In front of the shop was selling BAGS, various coloured and brands of bags. Some were lying on the floor for special sales, others hanging just outside the front of the shop. The bags looked tempting. The material seemed good. I thought of buying for my mother or for myself. I caught hold of one hanging bag, a very special bag that look long and a ribbon in front. On top of it, besides the strap, there are two rollers. I did not buy the bag in the end.
Next, it was an arcade centre, adult playroom I went. A woman was talking to another woman. I overheard their conversation. She told me to follow them and they brought me to this place where food were sold. I wanted to buy food for Richard and myself. After her recommendation, I ordered what this woman had recommended — it was some kind of special ‘recipe’ and deviation(creation) from the normal food we had. I bought two packets of food — fried kway teow and fried hokkien mee. The fried kway teow was going to be different. It is going to add ‘Laksa Mee Tai Mak”. It came with a package. The drink is going to contain the “Laksa Mee Tai Mak” also. They add in some drinks. I asked the woman if it is going to be alcoholic. In the end, I don’t know what she was talking. I just trusted her recommendations. On entry to this shop, I saw the hokkien mee, which looks appetizing. So I ordered it as well. This made two packets of mee which I had made up my mind to order.
While waiting for the noodles, I went to walk around. People were play games. There were table games like Billiard around. Later, I heard the bell. It was the bell to say that the food is ready for collection. However, when I walked there, some people were sitting round the table. The stall owner was asking questions and the ‘customers’ were drawing their answers (writing in missing letters in the blanks). I was confused. I told them that I wanted to take my food. They ignored me and asked me to wait. I asked them,”what are these people doing? Can you explain?” The stall owner spoke Thai language. In the dream, they were really Thai…all thai, including the customers — the skin tanned. I did not understand anything they said. The game looked interesting. Later, I got to know that it was some kind of ‘incentives’. I blamed it on the women… the conspiracy game they played…
I went to a playground. I happened to see both women. One dressed in pink and another black(with some whites). Crowds were around the playground. Children were playing. I saw the women, the two of them. I could recognise their face. Their skin were very fair. The woman after talking to me quickly went behind the playground. I could not see her. After that, she walked away from the playground. She had apparently swopped clothes with the other woman (her accomplice). At first she was wearing pink, but at the time when she left, she was wearing black (with traces of white). This sight seemed to be happening at Boon Lay… those blocks of flats around Boon Lay Shopping Centre…
I was arguing with these women for ‘cheating’ me. Next the other woman (not the one recommending me the food, the accomplice) told me a possible answer or a more appropriate word for it. It was a four-letter words which I did not understand the meaning, nor have heard of it before. It starts with E sound and it seems to be called ELIN or ERIN , something like that. I asked them how to spell the words. I finished the dream with seeing the ‘cheater’ woman walking away in black(and white)… (written 10.44am)
Went to Civic Centre in the evening. On the way, crossing the traffic lights, my right shoe spoilt. I had to buy another pair of new shoes. This pair of shoes was bought from Metro before I was pregnant. Since my pregnancy, I had hardly any chance to wear this pair of shoes. Though the soles are still rather good (still with lines), the upper part (with decorations) was spoilt. I hate to go shopping, especially now with 3 kids, and having a little one that need full attention. I really had a hard time….(especially with a ‘traditional’ asian man…)
A roadshow was held at the Civic Centre, the open space just outside the library, in front of the escalators. Standard Chartered staff were promoting their products, and at the same time giving out free balloons, pop corns, and there was a football table game for children. At the side of the table game was written as shown above: You’ll Never Walk Alone….
It’s been rather perplexed… and blue…(女人心…)
This is the Second Week of Advent. I was feeling down, but I was really not alone…. (so many things to write, full of discovery, but too little time…)
The Slain Lamb
It was the same species of lizard that was ‘awaiting’ there for me. It was this ‘mutated’ lizard… which appeared on my mirror after we came back from my mother’s house (4 December 2010)…
