Baby Eagles
By Peace | May 28, 2011
The above shows the new addition to the church, a new kindergarten of St Francis Church. It was this part of the church I was standing and looking up into the sky (in the dream). Very coincidentally, I had taken this photograph on 16 May 2011. There was a new addition to this car park area. It was a new saint! I had read about this saint (St Alphonsa) in the catholic news and I had thought that it would be placed in the church, but little do I know that it would be placed at that particular location as shown above.
This morning I dreamed of my mother, sister and I at Church of St Francis of Assisi. We were at the car park area, the region near the kindergarten. At that area, I stood watching. An indian couple dressed in dark blue with some white patterns on their clothing were having their wedding ceremony. The priest wore green vestments. These couples were accompanied by a few people. They walked into the church through the side door of the church. The church and everything that I dreamed of was exactly what it was during the 70s when it was still non-airconditioned.
Inside the church, I saw what the priest did (all his usual rites). Inside the church was dark, with no other guests — just as quiet as my wedding. I saw the smoke– the Catholic incense (which I had forgotten what it was called, and it smelled nice).
Still standing at the open space of the car park, there were many people now (don’t know why). But these people were all looking at the sky. I started to look up. “WOW! So many small baby eagles!!!” I exclaimed. I could not believe the SIGHT. The sky was SO BEAUTIFUL, extremely breathtaking. Was it a vision or was it a reality? It was a sky full of eaglets, baby eagles — some grey, some yellowish, of various traits. I told my big brother, who was there,”Help me catch one of the bird!” He gave me one yellow bird. Later I grew greedy. I wanted one more. He gave me two yellow birds. I wanted to bring them home.
In this dream, my mother wore a same dark blue dress as the wedding couple (and the same dark blue dress also contains white patterns that looked like lace on it… so coincident). We were discussing about whether we were going to Boon Lay Shopping Centre next. And the answer seemed like negative because in the next part of the dream, I was still at the church compound.
Now, I went to the toilet. It was the same toilet that I had used in the 70s, with 3 cubicles inside. Strangely, in the dream, it was the same 3 cubicles in which I had stood there, in queue, waiting for my turn. It was a bigger toilet than the usual one that I had known! The people standing in front of me were all old people, all older than me. The toilet was smelly, it smelled of feaces. I could not stand the smell and I wanted to proceed further. Now I discovered that there were still ROOM in the toilet. I walked further up. It was dark at this side further in of the toilet (During the 70s, in this toilet, there were 3 toilet cubicles. If you walked further in, you would be hitting the wall. It was a green wall. But in this dream, it was this part of the wall which I had walked into). Again, some people were queuing up. I was behind all this elderly people. The one in the front of the queue was a woman of curly hair. Her look was funny (looked somewhat like a retarded person, but much better). In the dream, she was wailing. I had forgotten why, though I had a conversation with someone in there, who was controlling the queue. In the end, I did not join the queue, that was all I know.
The wedding groom turned his head. I saw his face. His face looked so familiar. It is someone whom I did not know in reality at all, but in the dream, the feeling is he was familiar and I seemed to have seen him somewhere. (Yesterday, an indian couple came to Fu Shan Garden to take photographs of their wedding!)
The Strength of The Human Spirit
What a beautiful dream and I would love to stay in the dream forever and not have woken up (to face reality)
which made my heart sank, extremely heavy….
